Hi Ruffers! For this post, we prepared a list of our favorite books about dogs. If you are a Dog Lover, we are sure that you have already read or heard about them. Each of these books is unique, since the beginning, they catch you with their plot and characters.
Our ranking consists of a total of 6 books, which range from poetry to photography.

The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein  



 This novel fascinates us! It tells the story of Denny Swift, racing driver, and owner of a dog named Enzo, who believes in the Mongolian legend "the eternal cycle of reincarnation", which says that a prepared dog will reincarnate in his next life as a human. Throughout the plot Enzo spends most of his days watching and learning from television and its owner, preparing for his future reincarnation. (After reading the book we suggest you watch the movie).

A Dog's Purpose by W. Bruce Cameron  


This incredible novel narrates the life of a dog since its birth to its death; the captivating thing is that it goes through several reincarnations, and in each one, it is a different dog breed. (You can also see the film of this book).

The Dogist by Elías Weiss Friedman  


It's not a common book! It contains around 1,000 images, this amazing photo book documents the lives of different dogs that live in New York. Through the photos, Elias W. Friedman manages to convey the personality and unique style of each dog. (There's a 6 min documentary about the creation of this book).

How Dogs Love Us by Gregory Berns 


Gregory Berns is a neuroscientist who tests the love and loyalty of his dog Newton, his goal is to find what strengthens the bond between man and dog.

What the author seeks is for science to see animals in another way, not only to use them for scientific experiments.

Lily and the Octopus by Steven Rowley 


A fascinating story of fiction. It tells the life of Ted, a gay writer who lives stagnant, due the only relation that has had is with his old Daschund, Lily. During the plot, Lily's health is in danger, so Ted promises to save its life in every possible way.

I Could chew on This by Francesco Marciuliano 


If you are the kind of person who loves poems, this book is ideal for you, because it contains an impressive collection of lovely poems about dogs.
